FAQ

Is OxNotes free?

Yes, with no ads. Photos, drawings, voice memos, one protected note, one-time reminders and exporting your notebook are free. Pro is a one-time purchase, no subscription.

Do I need an account?

No. A Google account is only used for Drive backup and for the Pro purchase through Google Play.

Are my notes synced?

No. They stay on your phone. With Pro, an encrypted Drive backup lets you restore them on another phone; restoring an existing backup does not require Pro.

What if I lose my recovery key?

OxNotes has no server and cannot recover it: without it, an encrypted backup or a protected note cannot be decrypted. Keep it outside your phone.

What if I uninstall the app?

Notes are deleted from the phone. Export your notebook or back it up first.

Are my photos sent anywhere?

No. The text in your photos is analyzed on your phone. Only Drive backup, if you turn it on, sends your data, to your own account.

How much does Pro cost?

The price is shown by Google Play before any payment.
